PDGC Dave Flowers visits Atlantic C-Bases

On August 14the and 15th, PDGC Dave Flowers, accompanied by Atlantic General Chair Chris Lipsit and District 140 executive board member Jeremy Currie, made his first official visit to the Air Canada C-bases on the East Coast of Canada.

There are 4 bases in the East that make up the Atlantic C-bases: Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John – all in New Brunswick – and Charlottetown, PEI.

Dave, Chris and Jeremy toured the bases and engaged with members on the floor, hearing concerns and meeting with staff, stewards and Health & Safety reps.

PDGC Flowers engaged with members about the need for solidarity in the face of upcoming contract negotiations, as well as hearing any and all concerns stemming locally.

Feedback from the bases has been strong and positive, with Atlantic members happy to see the president visiting the smaller and more remote stations and spending time on the floor with the membership.
